Koei Tecmo Ponder If They Should Have Included Female Link In Hyrule Warriors →

Here’s what Koei Tecmo said in their latest tweet: “Linkle (tentative name) was a rejected story character featured in the art book, but it looks like she got a quite lot of attention… maybe we should have included her in the main story…”

This is not the first time that the idea of a female depiction of Link has been brought up. Speaking with Edge magazine, Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma commented on the fact that the Link shown in trailer for the new Legend of Zelda on Wii U looked somewhat effeminate.

Aonuma remarked, “Rather unexpectedly, after I mentioned that no one had explicitly said that it was Link [in the trailer], this speculation spread online and seems to have led to the idea that the main character will be a girl.”

He added, “However, this reaction from the fans is something I would like to take into consideration as we proceed with development—although that doesn’t mean that we are going to change the main character to a girl.”

World’s Most Beautiful Abandoned Places

Italian product manager and web designer Francesco Mugnai recently added a collection of images to his blog touting some of the most beautiful images of abandoned spots and modern ruins that he’d ever seen. The images Mugnai has captured come from empty castles, shuttered power plants, and dilapidated churches around the world. From a sunken yacht in Antarctica to a forever-closed amusement park in Japan, these images all make up a sort of anti-phoenix; rather than rising as new from the ashes, these husks remain preserved in decomposition, forcing viewers to confront the strange beauty of ruination.

Not sure if this has been said before but I love the fact that Makoto gets down to eye level with Hayato most of the time. That’s a technique that many (if not all) experts give when dealing with child communication.
Being on the same level is so important because it helps them feel more in control, safer, and more connected to the adult. It communicates to them that you are there for them and are readily paying attention.

Mamakoto really lives up to the name.
